Goodyear Eagle RS-A Good Wear, Not Confidence Inspiring

We are on our 2nd set of Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires. The original set went 60,0000 miles (4 years) before replacement. At 40,000 miles (3 years) we still have 5/32" to 6/32" even tread depth on all four tires. They perform just fine in the dry and 'function' in rain and snow. Still, I would not call them confidence inspiring in wet conditions.

With winter approaching we will replace the tires with a different brand to see if they grip better in wet and snow conditions over the long haul. Safety being a high concern for us here in Michigan.

On a side note, I performed a similar early upgrade on my Chevy Trailblazer to Goodyear Wrangler tires and love them. So I won't write off the brand. These RS-A tires did what they were supposed to do, but don't meet our performance expectations as the miles increase.
